You can really have some fun with off camera flash. I recently chopped my 1.5m ETTL cord in half. Yes, I took a pair of wire cutters to a perfectly good ETTL cord. No I am not crazy... I was performing this CAT5 ETTL extension mod. Made a great opportunity to play with some creative shots. These are 3 self portraits with my 580EX II strobe to the camera left (almost at my right cheek) shot through an umbrella. Power way down on the flash and shot with my Canon T2i and a Canon 50mm F1.8 with a very high shutter speed.
